marketers/advertisers - have lots of money can build systems in house - elitism/expertise - don't see the business value - fast followers, not leaders - financial driven / not community driven
technology - insular/elitist - understaffed companies - lack of credibility - too busy working on the product - no BD - unwilling to risk the opportunity cost
we need - case studies/distribution of - in person - can we create a forum? - convert social capital to financial capital
for sharing - communication in spite of lack of - resources - events - cold calls - champions - meetings - find ways to understand how others think (needs/pains) - create cases and use the media - find connectors - establish yourself as credible to have others buy into you - business models in tech need to develop -> free service wins the day
